FAQ
Why Direct Pediatric Care?
Dr. Vainder wants to provide her patients with the personalized care that they deserve. Your time is valuable and now more than ever with the technology that is available, there is no reason for you to be waiting hours on the phone or in a germ-filled waiting room.
Your children deserve pediatric care that is personal, accessible, reliable, and with a doctor that knows your child and your concerns without ever feeling rushed.
She can also help answer quick questions with a simple text or phone call. Dr. Vainder can give you the time that your child needs for each appointment.
Can I use my insurance?
You will be able to use your insurance for any imaging, labs, prescriptions or visits with specialists. DRVCARES Pediatrics will not bill your insurance for any of our services. You will not pay a co-pay for any of your visits. If you have a PPO or your insurance covers the partial cost of out-of-network providers, you may receive partial reimbursement for our services. Check with your insurance company prior to signing up.
Why does DRVCARES Pediatrics not bill my insurance for the services they provide?
Dr. Vainder is able to focus more on patient care and less on the restrictions put in place by insurance companies. If you have ever wondered why it takes so long to see a doctor, and why your doctor is overbooked and has 5 minutes to see your child, it is because insurance companies require more and more documentation and are reimbursing less and less for services despite increasing your monthly premiums. As a result, corporations increase the volume of patients seen to compensate for the low reimbursement.
Also, billing insurance is time-consuming and expensive for you and for us. Most families have high deductibles that are much higher than the cost of our membership. By not accepting insurance we can spend as much time as you need for your visits, keep our overhead low, and pass the savings on to you.You will never pay a co-pay when you visit us at DrVCares Pediatrics.
Why do I need a membership service if my child/children are healthy?
We are so happy to hear that your child/children are healthy! Unfortunately, we have been conditioned to see the pediatrician only when our children are sick and for well visits. Pediatrics is about taking care of so much more. Questions regarding behavior, school performance, social and mental health will arise and we want you to have someone that knows your child/children available to discuss any of your concerns. Also, illness, new diagnosis and concerns can arise when we least expect it. We want to help advocate for your child and guide you when you need it the most. We will be a partner in your child’s health care needs.
Do I have to sign up for membership to be a patient?
Yes, in order to be a patient at DrVCares Pediatrics you need to be a member. In order to provide personalized pediatric care, Dr. Vainder will only have a small panel of patients. She will take a detailed history at the start of membership in order to get to know your child and your family. Dr. Vainder believes in continuity of care so membership is required for service.
